  • There are 2 tours on Friday (Crystal Bridges and Top of the Rock/Dogwood Canyon) which are premium tours. You will take one of them.

    There are 4 tours on Saturday. You will take one of them.


    For those of you who opted to skip the Saturday tours, we arranged for 2 Workshops presented by Linda Whiting from Garden Adventures Nursery of Nixa.


    Using the herbs calendula and lavender, Linda will be showing the methods of infusing a carrier oil and then producing a wonderful soothing lotion which is great for the coming winter.

    12:00 PM – 1:00 PM LUNCH IS PROVIDED – You’ll get a voucher from the Chateau to cover your lunch cost.

    1:00 PM – 3:00 PM ELDERBERRY SYRUP

    Elderberry is one of the great native shrubs in Missouri and grows marvelously here. Linda will demonstrate the procedures for making syrup from these wonderful berries.

  • These classes qualify for Master Gardener Continuing Education. There will be 3 sessions:

    • 8:30 am – 9:30 am
    • 9:45 am – 10:45 am
    • 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

  • You can still buy additional meals for a spouse or friend accompanying you to the conference but don’t have conference tickets themselves and have other plans during the tours and classes.

  • Start your Sunday with a short, optional worship service where you can praise God with others who love gardening and the Lord as much as you do. There will be plenty of time afterwards to get to your first educational class. However, you may want to grab breakfast beforehand.

  • We are thrilled to be hosting this year’s State Conference at the Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa & Conference Center.

    We would hope that most, if not all of you have your room(s) reserved.

    The rooms which were available at the Chateau at the rate of $109 have been sold out. You may still contact the Chateau and reserve a room. It is still the most convenient option, but you will not get a preferred rate.
